The Goddess Awakens - Show Recap
On Saturday, February 9, 2019, I hosted my first solo art show, in which I titled “The Goddess Awakens: A Solo Art Exhibition by Krystle Ceasar.” The theme of the show was inspired by my spiritual journey of awakening to my true power. The idea of planning, funding, and hosting my own art show came about while working out on the elliptical machine. I decided that it was time to become more visible as an artist, evolve, and create an experience to connect my work with others. I declared that I would create this opportunity myself.
Social media is a valuable tool for artists. However, I believe paintings are meant to be experienced in person rather than on a screen. Each piece that an artist produces carries its own unique energy, which is best felt in person. Art vibrates, just as we do.
The show was more successful than I expected. Actually, the only expectation I set for this show was for me to make it happen. Despite the time, money, and periods where crusty, old thought patterns popped up, I made it happen. I’m a very determined and stubborn person by nature. (double Aquarius) Once my mind is made up, nothing else matters.
“The Goddess Awakens” featured 26 original, acrylic paintings, along with archival prints of select pieces. Complimentary mini prints of The Heart Speaks were given to my guests. We also held a free raffle for three tote bags featuring my artwork, prints, notebooks, incense, and candles.
I would like to thank everyone who attended, purchased original paintings or prints, brought flowers, captured photos/video footage, and those who helped spread the word.
I initially went in with the idea that I would do this all by myself because it was my goal. I didn’t expect anyone to help me. To my surprise, there were people who wanted to help me.
I would like to give a special thanks to all who volunteered to help make this dream a reality.
